My name is JR Fletcher. I am a visual artist from New York NY USA. I hold a Bachelors degree in Illustration & Cartooning and studied drawing at multiple universities.

From my academic art experience, I understand the powerful and lasting impact that education and community can have on an artist. It is my pleasure to share those values to artists around the world here at my website. My goal is to uplift, inspire and encourage you to maintain your path toward greater artistic goals.

I began drawing at age 5 and studied art from grade school to college. My formal education includes many hours drawing and painting from live models, learning methods of perception and measurement.

My philosophy on art is: have a strong foundation of drawing balanced with the realization of your artistic identity. To be able to draw is good, but what makes art great is the unique personality and imagination of the artist conveyed in each image they create.
